These studies should have a specific protocol to eliminate the possibility of respiratory acid base disorders in depressive unmedicated patients of all ages. No one has done such a study since Dr Emile Kraepelin uncovered pulmonary neurological motor defects or injuries in THOUSANDS of patients with debilitating depression and manic depression.
It is time for such studies.
