Balance of pH is not only important in the intensive care unit when one is critically ill, but in every waking and sleeping moment. This what the brain is doing while we sleep and while we read a book or move to reach for a snack or run for the bus, under any kind of conditions-indoor, out door, rain or snow, hot or cold or dry or stormy.
